Now Built for Toyota’s 2022 (SMC bed)
Rack-it is proud to announce our new rack designs for the all new 2022 Toyota Tundra. In final R&D phase right now, our design complements Tundra’s latest model by following the new modern, angular body lines for great fit.
Thanks to Toyota’s new Sheet-Molded Compound (SMC) construction, the new aluminum-reinforced composite truck bed and rails are lightweight. The new composite bed offers added protection against dents, impact dings, and rust.
While the lightweight composite bed is great for added protection and gas mileage, it does present a challenge installing a rack to it. Similar to the steps we took with the Tacoma, Rack-it’s design team have re-imagined the Rack design to include an installation kit that will take advantage of the strong steel components in the rear taillight stanchion and the vehicle frame.
