Constantly evolving with the needs of our customers, Rack-it introduced our line of Racks specifically designed for protected rear hand-loading of materials on Utility Trucks and Service Body Trucks. To continue building the toughest Racks on the market we use American steel. It’s counted among the most rigid metals, providing reliable support for whatever you throw at it. The Steel Pipe of the Utility/Service Body Rack construction is built in America, designed to naturally flex without cracking or breaking, even under the weightiest cargo.
Our Utility/Service Body Modular Racks were engineered to accommodate the functionality of the service body, with the unique interlocking Modular design delivering the same reliable strength you expect from a Rack-it. The custom fit for the body lines of each truck ensures a quiet, stable ride. Easily assembled and maneuvered during installation and offering unmatched strength and stability, our Standard Rack provides a versatile and efficient solution for any material you need to haul.
We know performance is all in the details, so we’ve custom designed every Rack for Make, Model and Year-specific fitting. Whether you have a service, utility, flatbed or contractor body – we’ve designed a Rack for you.
- The Rack was designed with beveled edges to guide the pipes together properly while the nuts are welded on the inside of the tube to eliminate alignment issues. When you insert the bolt it immediately meets up with the pre-placed nut, making assembly quick and easy like no other Rack, all while providing the same strength as a Modular system.
- Multiple mounting options available including angle iron on the inside shoulder, Flat bar to the top of the sidepacks and Fore and Aft mounting options are also available.
- We've built our Racks with the option for hooks for ratchet tie-downs and ropes: the solid steel rope hook can be fully welded to each of the steel uprights for ultimate strength in safely securing your load.
- Many additional weld-in and clamp-on custom add-ons like expanded metal window guards, baskets, tool holders, etc. are available by request, please contact your local dealer or call us directly for options.
RACK-IT UTILITY / SERVICE BODY RACK FEATURES
Outfit your whole fleet, each Rack is custom built for each specific truck’s Make, Model and Year, designed to the truck’s body type, allowing for functional access to storage and reduction of wind noise.
We’ve included a removable rear bar for versatility. Quick release ring pins make it easy to remove, so even taller loads won’t stand in your way.
The rear bar is fully welded and is designed to safely support the rear structure of the two main tube rails.
Double weld-in gussets at each cross bar and cab overhang provide maximum structural integrity, creating an even stronger frame resistant to snapping.
Match your style; powder coat finish is available as an upgrade option. Offered in industrial grade gloss black finish. Additional custom colors available on request.
Our Candy-Cane rounded endpoints protect your materials and make it easier to slide and load large pieces – all while adding style to the Rack.
The entire Modular Rack is packaged securely in a one box system which includes all the hardware required to assemble the Rack – and it can be shipped anywhere. The final assembled Rack creates a singular unit support cage over the shell and cab, providing support for supplies and protection in the event of an accident.
